West Java is very rich, has many things to explore
Bandung (ANTARA) – Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki challenged West Java Province to make a strategy to boost the economy through exploration of natural resources (SDA) and culture.
“Let’s prove it and work together to create a cultural strategy to improve the economy. West Java is very rich, has many things to explore,” said Teten during a conversation with artists in Bandung, West Java, Sunday.
According to Teten, regions in West Java should follow the example of Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, which is currently visited by many local and international tourists.
“Banyuwangi was once the poorest area. However, the Regent of Banyuwangi (2010-2021 period) Abdullah Azwar Anas racked his brain. He explored a tourist spot, namely Mount Ijen. There, there is a blue crater that there are only two in the world, namely Banyuwangi and Canada. Tourists also come and make Banyuwangi develop, “he added.
In addition, the development process in the area is also in favor of the small people. One of them is by prohibiting the construction of hotels originating from foreign investment.
According to him, this needs to be emulated by West Java which has abundant tourist and cultural attractions in every district and city.
One of the artists, Tisna Sanjaya admits that West Java does not have a cultural strategy to advance the welfare of culturalists and artists and advance its economy by exploring natural resources.
“Bandung is extraordinary and has a large art community. But what is lacking is that there is no cultural strategy, so the art nodes run independently,” he said.
Therefore, according to him, there needs to be new innovations in order to develop art that can invite tourists to come to West Java.
“So, not only for art. Art must have a network in various lines. Actually, West Java is not losing, but lacking exploration,” he added.
