“From 2018 to October 10, 2021, access to 4,873 content has been cut off online fintech, which are spread across various platforms,” ​​he explained at the OJK Virtual Innovation Day 2021 virtually from Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday.

According to Minister Johnny, the government and partners will not provide space for any content fintech that are not in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

“We both have a duty not to give space to illegal content or content that is not in line with the laws and regulations. So that our digital space becomes more useful for the interests of our society, and is used optimally for economic progress. us,” he said.

There are 4,873 contents online fintech are spread across various platforms such as website, marketplace, apps, social media and services file sharing.

The Minister of Communication and Information hopes that law enforcement on the rise of illegal content can encourage the use of digital platforms that are increasingly useful.

“We hope that law enforcement in the digital space like this will encourage it to be more lively fintech We want to use it well, use it for the benefit and development of our national economy and finances,” he said.

He also invited Electronic System Operators (PSE) and the public to take anticipatory steps for technology development. This is to prevent data leakage and strengthen firewall to ward off cyber attacks and prepare digital infrastructure.

“The use of digital infrastructure for various digital transactions is carried out to support secure digital finance,” said the Minister of Communication and Information.

In addition to Minister Johnny, the OJK Virtual Innovation Day 2021 activity with the theme “Building Robust and Sustainable Digital Finance Ecosystem Amid COVID-19 Pandemic” was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority, Nurhaida, and Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo.
